Youth Hockey Programs

Program Overview

From the 4-year old first-time skater to the 14-year old star that's getting drafted by the WHL to the 18 year old senior that's soon to be off to college, Sno-King has a hockey program for youth players of all ages and abilities. If your player is New to Hockey or in the early stages of learning to skate or play we have a Learn to Play program that provides excellent instruction at an affordable price including training for learning to ice skate and the basic fundamentals of playing hockey.  Click here for more info.

Once players are ready to play on a competitive team, they are placed in age-appropriate USA Hockey designated divisions including 8U (8 years old and younger), 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U.  These divisions are based on birth years and a player's division is based on their age as of Dec 31st. Click on the link to each age division to learn more. Sno-King supports all girls whether they chose to play all girls or on our co-ed teams. For more information on our Girls Programs for 8U to 16U players, click here.

Players can either play on a recreation team or tryout for a select team. Once a player ages out of the program they have the opportunity to play in the Adult Leagues.

We highly recommend completing these three steps in advance of season registration:

  1. Players and parents obtain or renew your USA Hockey membership for the 2022-23 season. This annual membership is a USA Hockey requirement and validated during Sno-King season registration and can take up to 24 hours to activate.
  2. Parents complete or refresh both Safesport training & Background check. At least one parent/guardian from each family, plus all coaches and volunteers must have completed these required safety elements.
  3. If you are new to Sno-King and played 8U or older at a different association last season, a player release from your previous association is required to register.
